Allow us to process your animal your way. We offer beef, pork, and lamb processing by appointment. Seasonally, we process venison. Please call us to make a processing appointment at (989) 838-2274.

How Processing Works

We aim to make the processing experience simple and straightforward for every customer. Our team is available to answer questions and guide you through each step of the process.

1. Schedule Your Processing

Customers should contact us in advance to schedule processing for livestock or wild game. Scheduling helps ensure we can provide timely service and proper handling.

2. Choose Your Cuts

You will complete a cut sheet that allows you to select the exact cuts and thicknesses you prefer. We can also help you decide on options such as steaks, roasts, ground meat, and specialty items.

3. Animal Drop-Off

Bring your livestock or harvested game to our facility during scheduled drop-off times. Our team will check in your order and review the details with you.

4. Specialty Product Options

If you'd like, your meat can be processed into products like jerky, snack sticks, sausage, or summer sausage using our signature recipes.

5. Processing & Packaging

Our experienced team carefully processes and packages your meat to ensure quality and freshness. All products are labeled and prepared to be freezer-ready.

6. Pickup

Once your order is complete, we will notify you when it is ready for pickup. Your processed meat will be packaged and organized so it’s easy to transport and store.

What to Expect From Your Yield

The amount of meat you receive after processing will be less than the live weight of the animal. This is because certain parts such as the hide, bones, fat, and moisture are removed during the processing and aging process. The cut selections chosen will also affect yields.

Bellingar Packing also offers professional meat smoking services, allowing customers to add rich, smoky flavor to a variety of products. Smoking is a popular option for customers looking to enhance their meats or preserve them in traditional, flavorful ways. Our smoking process uses carefully controlled temperatures and time-tested methods to ensure consistent quality and great taste.

Customers frequently request smoking services for fish, snack meats, and cheese, but we can also smoke a variety of other products depending on availability and seasonal demand.
